New Programme Line-up for NZ Welding School

New Zealand’s booming construction sector is crying out for skilled workers, and a new range of programmes just launched by the NZ Welding School will help ease the pressure.

New courses at NZ Welding SchoolStudents now have three NZQA-accredited welding qualifications to choose from – Career Preparation for Engineering Trades (Level 3), the NZ Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 3) and Career Preparation for Specialised Welding (Level 4).

Delivered from the new Aspire2Trades campus in Wiri and the NZ Welding School in Rotorua, the new qualifications will equip students with the practical skills the industry needs, enabling them to launch their trades careers with skill and confidence.

Programme Delivery Manager Michael Lortan said he was delighted to announce the new project-based qualifications and believes graduates will be in hot demand with trades employers.

“These industry-supported qualifications now contain the required skill levels in safety, quality and work ethic that students require, and that industry are desperately looking for!”

The exciting new programmes kick-off on February 12.
