ITI Newsletter - April 2010

Welcome to the April 2010 Newsletter from Independent Tertiary Institutions (ITI). ITI is a recognised peak body representing the collective voice of a diverse group of high-quality private tertiary education providers.

May is shaping up as an intensely busy month for the entire sector with the Budget on 20 May, the first cut at producing performance data, start of the investment planning round and consultation on the Targeted Review of Qualifications.

Along all that activity, this newsletter looks to highlight what ITI members do every day - helping their learners succeed. This month, students from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design feature at the Emerging Designer Awards. Laidlaw College is proud to note the new Bishop of Auckland is a Bible College alumni.

Since January, New Zealand Management Academies (NZMA) has been offering the City & Guild's Barista course which is recognised in over 100 countries. We also have a report about the over 200 students who recently graduated from New Zealand Tertiary College. Finally, Natcoll has introduced a creative work experience internship programme in Auckland.
