ITI Newsletter - August 2010

Good morning and welcome to the August 2010 newsletter from Independent Tertiary Institutions (ITI).

ITI is a group of high-quality private tertiary providers and is a recognised industry peak body. The purpose of ITI is to provide a collective voice for members and to help them share information to continuously improve their own performance.  While the members of ITI are diverse both in terms of ownership structure and course content, they all share a focus on the learner and a commitment to excellence in education.

In this issue, the New Zealand Welding School has developed a work experience scheme for graduates as a stepping stone to their next jobs.  New Zealand Tertiary College Chief Executive Selena Fox was a keynote speaker at the Quality of Education forum organised by the Colombian Government. It was attended by over 4,000 people from around the world.

International Travel College continues its incredible run at the Manukau Business Awards with confirmation they are a finalist in not one but three categories. Finally for this edition, the New Zealand Management Academies FERN English school has launched an internship programme for TESOL graduates which will give them the opportunity to work in local schools.

As always, we appreciate you taking the time to read about just some of our daily success stories.

Regards

Neil Miller
