ITI Newsletter - September 2011
Good morning and welcome to the September 2011 newsletter from Independent Tertiary Institutions (ITI). ITI is a recognised peak industry body representing fifteen diverse high-quality private training establishments (PTEs). Each month, this newsletter looks to highlight student and staff successes at our member institutions.
In this issue, the head of the New Zealand Tertiary College, Selena Fox, is representing the PTE sector on the reference group considering tertiary e-learning and e-teaching (TeLRG). Following their recent success at the Manukau Business Awards, the International Travel College has been nominated for a Marketing Excellence Award at the Auckland Central Business Awards. ITI wishes them all the best at the ceremony on 10 November.
Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design celebrates a year of highlights for both staff and students. There is a profile of Media Design School graduate six years on and a showreel of their achievements in the industry. The last article reports on the more than 100 students from New Zealand Management Academies (NZMA) who are working at the Rugby World Cup in Auckland and Hamilton.
ITI would like to congratulate Media Design School founder and long-time member of the ITI Board Liz Valintine on her appointment to the Education New Zealand board.
