Independent Tertiary Institutions (ITI) is proud to launch its website at www.iti.org.nz and its monthly newsletter. Both focus on sharing members’ activities and current tertiary education issues with the broadest audience possible.
ITI members have traditionally gone about our work quietly, so while individual students and employers value our work, many others are not aware of what we do. With the government putting the squeeze on quality private tertiary education providers, we need to put our side of the story.
ITI executive director Dave Guerin said “members are proud of their contribution to New Zealand and want to share it with the wider community. The website is an opportunity for readers to get a fresh perspective on quality private tertiary education providers.”
The website profiles each ITI member and describes ITI’s key policy positions. Each section also has related articles, so you can follow how we live up to our goals. These range from the serious, such as our submission on our distinctive contribution to tertiary education, to the celebratory, with New Zealand Management Academies’ students scooping hospitality awards for the third year running.
ITI chairperson Tim Cullinane said that he “welcomes the focus on ITI members’ achievements. Our members do a great job preparing high quality graduates, in partnership with employers and the wider community. The website helps us to share that with others.”
People can subscribe to the monthly newsletter at the ITI website.
