Axis Adschool Graduates Succeed at Cannes Tuesday July 31, 2007

AXIS Adschool Graduates have cleaned up at the Cannes International Advertising Festival this year, taking a total of 9 out of the 18 Lions awards given to New Zealand advertising agencies.

AXIS Adschool at Media Design School is a 36-week intensive programme based entirely on the incubation and development of great ideas and is fully integrated with New Zealand's top creative agencies. Each year, twenty students are selected to join AXIS Adschool's Diploma of Creative Advertising and are exposed to a ‘hot-house' of techniques to produce big ideas that have the traction to increase sales, build brand loyalty and win awards.

Congratulations to Karen Maurice O'Leary, Verity Butt, Craig Knowles, Tom Piane, and Jonathon Horner (who sneaked in a Bronze with work he has done in Sydney).

This is a great testament to the hordes of agency people who have contributed to the course over the years and who have then given students their big breaks. It also gives the 2007 class plenty of evidence into how all their hard work could turn out in the not too distant future.
