Whitecliffe Students’ Creative Success Thursday November 27, 2008

In a previous ITI newsletter we reported that Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design student Juliette Shannon had won the Masquerade MASK competition. Since then Juliette’s mask has been auctioned off at the masquerade ball and fetched the same price as that of world-renowned designer Trelise Cooper. For the original story go to: Whitecliffe Student’s Design Featured With the Best.

Sacha Stejko, a Whitecliffe second year photography and film/video student, won the Sony Alpha Photography Competition.  Judges deemed her work the best in capturing both the catwalk and the ambience of Air New Zealand Fashion Week. Third year students, yoon Tae Kim and Isaac lee won second and third places respectively.

Two Whitecliffe third year graphic design students, Zahabiya Molyadi and Donald Sun, had their work chosen from 250 entrants for the 2009 Panprint calendar. The Panprint calendar is released each year and showcases some of the country’s top emerging designers.
