New Zealand Management Academies has been recognised as a training institute that provides strong and relevant connections to industry for its students.

NZMA was listed as one of two finalists in the Hospitality Standards Institute Awards in the Training Provider (workplace partnerships) category, sponsored by the NZ Chefs Association.

In order to meet the criteria for this category NZMA had to provide evidence of collaborative partnerships with relevant workplaces to ensure industry-relevant training, assessment and work opportunities for students. They had to demonstrate commitment to hospitality industry education, and involvement in the industry through events and competitions, including particular achievements such as prizes won, special awards, and acknowledgments.

The HSI Excellence in Training Awards were presented at a black tie dinner held at the Langham Hotel in Auckland on Friday 14 July.
