ITI will survey members on their experience of the Assessment of Strategic Relevance (ASR) and reinvestment processes in September. This will be a re-run of the survey that ITI developed last year and distributed to its own members and, through NZAPEP, to NZAPEP members. It is hoped that the survey will go out to AMPTEE (the Maori PTE group), as well as NZAPEP, members this year, as AMPTEE have expressed interest in being involved.
Last year's survey was run after a very difficult ASR process, when various design and implementation faults arose. It provided a useful basis for discussions with the TEC and contributed to a major redesign of ASR processes, but it was not released publicly because we had committed to working behind closed doors with the TEC. We expect that this year's survey will be a lot more positive and we hope to provide some of the results through this newsletter, to show our appreciation for the effort made by the TEC's staff. PTE peak bodies and the TEC will sit down to review this year's ASR in October.
