Welcome to the November 2008 edition of the Independent Tertiary Institutions (ITI) newsletter.
Alert readers will notice that this edition has arrived in early December. The Executive Director attempted to send the newsletter from China at the end of November but was foiled by an inability to connect to the excellent ITI website (www.iti.org.nz) and his general technical incompetence. So, apologies.
The newsletter itself is well worth the wait with four stories this month showcasing the success of students at ITI institutions. The recent merger of Laidlaw College (previously the Bible College of New Zealand) and MASTERS Institute will create a vibrant new School of Education for Laidlaw. Students at Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design continue to be in the news for their creative skills.
The Media Design School has teamed up Rainbow's End amusement park on a range of new projects. A Natcoll student has been chosen to design the folder for the Ministry of Education's new Digital Technology Guidelines.
