ITI ITI Newsletter - April 2009

Welcome to the April edition of the Independent Tertiary Institutions (ITI) newsletter.  ITI is a recognised peak body representing a range of larger, high quality private tertiary providers.  Each month we look to share some of our members' success stories with the wider community.

The first article for April examines the new agreement which will see students from Natcoll Design Technology able to study in the Philippines and work on some cutting-edge commercial projects.  New Zealand Management Academies has seen one of their graduates pick up a prestigious award from the Hospitality Standards institute.  Finally, students from the Media Design School have produced the first interactive video on this side of the planet.

There are a number of significant challenges facing the private tertiary education sector in New Zealand this year.  ITI continues to engage with politicians and officials to address these issues in a constructive manner.  However, we also believe it is important to ensure the focus always comes to back to what is most important - the outcomes for learners.

Regards
